Skellig Bay opens with a trio of holes along the Fionnglassa River, while the back nine meanders over exposed headlands overlooking the ocean.
Two miles of ancient stone walls and ruins dot the landscape, most memorably at the par 5, 14th, where three standing stones adorn a fairway bunker, conjuring up visions of Druid-induced double bogeys.
Pagans and pros alike will warm to the downhill par 3, 15th, with its stunning views of the bay, the village of Waterville and the Macgillycuddy's Reeks Mountains.
